Christopher Lee grew up in Cleveland Heights Ohio and began playing the trumpet when he was in 3rd grade. He took his first trumpet lessons with his step father.When Mr. Lee was in Jr. High School he played in the Cleveland Institute of Musics' Youth Orchestra and Brass Choir. He also studied trumpet playing with a very prominent trumpet player in the Cleveland area named Harry Herforth. In High School, Mr. Lee studied trumpet playing with Mr. Bernard Adelstein who was the first trumpet player of the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Lee attended Cleveland State University (CSU), and, while at CSU, also attended the Perkins School Of Piano Tuning and Technology. He then joined the United States Air Force and was assigned to the 539th Squadron Air Force Band Of The West where he played in the Concert Band, the Marching Band and also in the Dimensions In Blue Jazz Band. Mr. Lee is currently a free-lance musician that has played in many pit orchestras for such productions as Candide, The Pirates Of Penzance, Thoroughly Modern Milly and Pippin to name a few. Mr. Lee also currently gives private lessons in trumpet playing (to college level), piano (beginners of all ages and some intermediates), and music theory (to college level). Mr. Lee also tutors students in Math (to high school level) and English (to college level and ESL). Mr. Lee is also a Steinway Trained Concert piano tuner / technician, who has tuned pianos for such famous people as Diana Krall the late Roger Williams and Stevie Wonder to name a few.
