Dr. Yulia Lipmanovich is a Russian born concert pianist and distinguished piano teacher. She has performed worldwide and mentored hundred of students.
She is the Executive Director and Founder of The Art of Piano Playing & Performing Arts, Inc, located at the Fine Arts Building at 410 S. Michigan Ave, in Chicago were she is teaching her students.
Dr. Yulia Lipmanovich was appointed by the Julliard School to teach Piano in the After School Arts with Juilliard Nord Anglia Performing Arts Program at the British International School of Chicago in South Loop and is combining it together with teaching her students,
She has taught on the piano faculties of the Boston Conservatory, Boston College, Northeastern University, Daley College, and the Rubin Conservatory of Music in Jerusalem in Israel.She is a
Member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and Chicago Area Music Teachers Association (CAMTA).
Since 2013 she has served on the Piano Faculty at the Summer Music Festival of the Gulf in San Marco, Italy,and is a Honorary President of the Jury at the International Piano Competition of Madame Rosina Lhevinne at San Marco di Castellabate, Solerno, Italy .
Dr.Yulia Lipmanovich was in Thailand in the Jury for the Thailand Six Mozart International Piano Competition in July 2016 .were she e also gave Master Classes and Solo Performances.
Dr. Lipmanovich gave numerous Master Classes and has taught on the piano faculties of the Boston Conservatory, Boston College, Northeastern University, Daley College, and the Rubin Conservatory of Music in Jerusalem in Israel.
Dr. Lipmanovich was studying with her mother, Madame Luba Lipmanovich-Yackobishvili, who was an outstanding pianist, a great teacher, great mother. Later with well known Russian pianist Tatiana Nickolayeva in Moscow Tchaickovsky Pre-Conservatory. Dr. Yulia Lipmanovich holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the Juilliard School of Music in New York, where she studied with Madame Rosina Lhevinne on a full scholarship. She received a Masters Degree from the Rubin Academy of Music of the Tel Aviv University, where she studied with Prof. Arie Vardi on a full scholarship awarded by the University. Dr. Lipmanovich studied with Ian Hobson on a full scholarship at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and was awarded her Doctorate in Piano Performance in 1998. Among her teachers were Anthony di Bonaventura, Rudolfo Caporally.
She appeared with solo recitals in England and performed at Music Festivals at Dardington and St. Lewis. Yulia gave numerous performances in London among them All Chopin Program at the Trinity Church and at Saint Martins in the Fields. She was recognized as an outstanding young performer and named in the National Collegiate Academy Honorary Book as “Collegiate All-American Scholar”. When in Israel, she was a member of the “Trio Bor”, who were members of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and appeared in numerous concerts .She had appeared in Israel in concerts as a soloist were for an audience Thirty Foreign Ambassadors were present, and performed on Radio and Television.
Dr. Yulia Lipmanovich is a frequent radio and television performer. Her recent performances in Chicago include the Fazioli Concert-Series (broadcast live on WFMT), Gala event of the Fine Arts Building in Curtiss Hall, Fourth Presbyterian Church (all Chopin program), web performance at Recording Studio 914 in the Fine Arts Building, at Schubertiade (Fazioli Pianoforte Solon). Harold Washington Library were she performed a program of Russian Composers, She has performed in Chicago with orchestras Haydn Piano Concerto in D Major, Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor, and Tchaikovski Piano Concerto No 1.
Dr. Yulia Lipmanovich gave Piano Master Classes at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music "Clairmont Hall" of Tel Aviv Universiry in Israel and gave Solo Recital of All Chopin Program at the Ramat Gan Theater. She was also performing in Russia Chopin Piano Concerto No 1 with Kirov Philharmonic Orchestra and a Chief Conductor Valery Raevsky. Dr. Lipmanovich will be giving Master Classes and play a Solo Recitals in Israel at Ramat Gan Theater "All Schubert Piano Recital" in January 12., 2013. She is a founder of the Chicago Piano Trio and of the Chicago Piano Chamber Musicians Ensemble.
