Create a new email to verify the new default zoom level. You can then delete the email in the “Draft” folder. The default is Email. To modify the Normal template, follow these steps Quit Outlook. Make sure you close any e-mail messages, contacts, appointments, or any other Outlook related windows you may have open.
Start Word. On the File menu, click Open. Select Normal. On the View menu, click Zoom. Under Zoom To, click the percentage you want, and click OK.
To adjust the contents when you are composing or reading a message, you have two options — use your mouse wheel button or the Zoom command on the ribbon. You can also change the size of contents in the Reading Pane. If you are using a mouse with a wheel control, you can use the wheel button to zoom in on, or out of, the body of a message.
