Cant uninstall microsoft office 2010 professional plus free


During install, I allowed install tool to uninstall my previous version Office Enterprise. It appeared to work fine. Software works fine. I did not do anything else to my system in the meantime. I attempted to repair the Office install to no avail I have tried a few other approaches, including the manual removal method outline in KB , and I still cannot install it.

When I try to uninstall the Windows installer packages in Step 1 of KB, the systems tells me that I cannot run install until a previous installation is completed. I am trying to update my subscription to my antivirus which runs out in a couple of days. Was this reply helpful?

Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. I’ve tried that as well. It gave me the same message as above “Previous installation must be completed before you can install this program” or something similar.

It appears as though are some residual installation still out there on my system that are preventing me from being able to install another program. It is also preventing me from uninstalling MS Office so that I can reinstall it. First, reboot your computer. Try uninstaling with revo uninstaller, download the trial from the link. Reboot the machine and then manually uninstall traces of Office referring the steps in the Kb article mentioned below and that should resolve the issue:.
